Apple Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 medium sweet apple, peeled, cored, and chopped*
  • 1 medium frozen banana, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 3/4 cup plain, unsweetened almond milk (or another non-dairy milk)
  • 1 tbsp. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice*
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • pinch salt*

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and cover. Start the blender on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed. Continue blending until it’s smooth and creamy. (Alternatively, use your blender’s smoothie mode if it has one.)

  2. Pour your smoothie into a glass and garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.

Notes & Hints

I used a Gala apple, but any sweet apple will work, including Fuji, Golden Delicious, or Honeycrisp.

If you're using a tart apple like Granny Smith or Pink Lady, hold the lemon juice and salt, then add it to taste if it's needed.
